Remarks:
This is a Tennessee Valley Authority trapper with gold wash chrome vanadium blades. The straight grind is confirmed. The clip blade says ‘TVA _ POWER FOR THE TENNESSEE VALLEY‘ and has a power line. The spey blade says ‘50 GOLDEN YEARS _ 1933 -- 1983‘. All blade work is deep etched. The wood grain cardboard box repeats the blade etches. Has smooth yellow composition handles and a single oval "CASE" block letter shield. This one has a 1985 tang stamp date with straight grind tangs. Same knife also found with a confirmed 1983 and 1984 stamps. The 83 and 84 variations have new grind tangs. The 1984 knife also found with both silver and gold wash chrome vanadium blade variations.
For best results, type in the “Simple” model number. For many knives the tang
stamp model number is the simple model number. The top picture shows model number 6392. This is
the simple model number.
