Let’s say you are a Case XX peanut collector (but only for the year range from 2001 to 2005).   And you are also a member of KnifeDB.com.  Then you know that if you use 2001 as the start year on the  search, and 2005 as the ending year, along with 3220 as the model number then you will get 13 3220’s (yellow composition peanuts) in that year range.  But that’s not really what you want.  You want to see ALL the peanuts in that 5 year collecting range regardless of the handle material.  And here’s how easy it is:  just shorten the model number to 220 (leave off the handle code), and you get every peanut in the range you set.  It works for any others like 254 (all trappers) or 347 (all the premium stockmen).   The example below shows that the peanut search for all the handles will produce 234 peanuts in the 5 year range.  Try it on your favorite knives.
