Remarks:
North Carolina Highway Patrol Moose for 1980. Has brown standard jigged bone handles and a double oval "CASE" block letter shield. Has a regular serial number on the right front bolster. Both blades deep etched in red. The front of the clip says"NORTH CAROLINA _ HIGHWAY PATROL" and also has scrolls. The back of the spey says "51st ANNIVERSARY _ 1929 - 1980 One of 750". The new grind blades are confirmed. The most interesting feature of this knife is the fact that it has a 1984 tang stamp date but commemorates an anniversary 4 years earlier! It is marked as a contradictory date knife.
For best results, type in the “Simple” model number. For many knives the tang
stamp model number is the simple model number. The top picture shows model number 6392. This is
the simple model number.
If you have a knife not in a catalog that should be, or a picture of a knife
we show in black and white, we encourage you to send these pictures to david@wordyisms.com. If
you do, we will add your name as an authority on this knife, if you wish.
