Remarks:
North Carolina Highway Patrol 52nd anniversary Texas jack with brown standard jigged bone handles, a double oval "CASE" block letter shield and chrome vanadium blades. New grind confirmed. Both blades deep etched in blue. The front of the clip says 'NORTH CAROLINA _ HIGHWAY PATROL' and has a scroll. The back of the pen blade says '52nd ANNIVERSARY _ 1929 - 1981 ONE OF 750'. There is a regular serial number on the right front bolster. There is a second shield on the front handle that is round and has a North Carolina Highway Patrol badge on it. Notice that this unusual knife has a tang stamp date three years after the 1981 date being commemorated, making it a contradictory date knife. Regular serial number on right front bolster.
For best results, type in the “Simple” model number. For many knives the tang
stamp model number is the simple model number. The top picture shows model number 6392. This is
the simple model number.
If you have a knife not in a catalog that should be, or a picture of a knife
we show in black and white, we encourage you to send these pictures to david@wordyisms.com. If
you do, we will add your name as an authority on this knife, if you wish.
