Remarks:
John Deere trapper. Has two shields on the front and another on the rear handle. Comes in a green and yellow John Deere gift tin. Inside the tin is a leaping stag medallion. Type 2 year 2000 transition as the back of the clip blade is tang stamped with 'USA' and the model number stamp on the front of blade 2 also has a USA first line. The year 2000 stamp is for chrome vanadium steel with a regular shaped S. The model number stamp indicates that the knife is stainless steel making this also a factory error. The shield on the back says 'John Deere Motorsports' The left front handle shield shows a leaping stag between John Deere. This shield is yellow red and green. Green Rogers jigged bone handles. Same knife also found with a 2001 date.
For best results, type in the “Simple” model number. For many knives the tang
stamp model number is the simple model number. The top picture shows model number 6392. This is
the simple model number.
