Trapper from the 1983 second cut series with second cut stag handles and a double oval "CASE" block letter shield. 1 of 5 knives in the Second Cut Stag Series from 1983, no engraving on bolster, and no serial number on this regular version. 9 dots on the clip master tang stamp dating the blade from 1981, two years before new grind knives were made. This same regular version can also be found with a "correct" 1983 and a 1984 tang stamp date also. New grind is confirmed. The master blade says "Case xx '83 Second Cut Series". Very interesting knife. 700 total copies of this knife split between the 1981,1983, and 1984 tang stamp variations.
