Fur Takers of America

I have only seen one Case knife for this  interesting club or association.  It was made in an edition of 300 pieces.   There is a single oval “CASE” block letter shield and a black composition handle.  There is a regular serial number on right front bolster. Blade work says in black “FUR TAKERS OF AMERICA _ 1982 NATIONAL CONVENTION _ 1 OF 300”. There is also a paw print left of the text and a bobcat to the right. There are small scrolls bracketing the 1 OF 300 line. Comes in an alligator clamshell that says “FUR TAKERS OF AMERICA” and has the paw print and the bobcat. The box says 1 of 300 under the paw print and by Green’s Cutlery under the bobcat. The work on the clamshell is done in gold.   The highest inflation adjusted price actually paid for one of these is $191.oo paid in 2020.   You can see five other actual prices on this knife including a low of $68 from 2016.
