Christmas is a time of joy and family love, as well as gift giving.  In the the 1970’s the Case factory began to figure out that Christmas was a great time to gift someone a Case pocket knife.    The first Christmas pocket knife I have found was from the year 1976.  The handle said “Merry Christmas 1976”.  Over time the design became more and more complex. adding blade work, bolster work, serial numbers and  more religious themes.  I am currently working on 2016 and I can tell you that between that first knife in 1976 and 2016, there have been at least 376 Christmas knives made.  Here are some samples.    If you wanted to start a collection of Christmas goodies, seems like right after Christmas would be a good time to start.
